Solar Energy & Heat Pumps

The surface Heating & Cooling Systems are ideal combinations to for the use of renewable energies.
Large surface areas emit or absorb energy into the room, thus creating a very comfortable room climate. Large surface areas permit a much lower operating temperature for the system, for heating 34 C, for cooling 19 C.
These low operating temperatures are easily achieved with the use of Heat Pumps which operate on a high COP.
Add Solar Energy to the above for a winning combination.

Photovoltaic

To drive the Heat Pump, electricity generated from Photovoltaic panels is used. The additional generated energy from PVP’s can be sold to the Power supplier. By buying back the electric power from the supplier, financial incentives for Heat Pump opeartions are used where it is applicable.
No elaborate storage units are necessary; the system works maintenance – free.

Water Circulating Fire Places

WCFPs can be combined with heating system. A double-walled Fire Place is connected to a storage tank. The water is heated while circulating through cavity in the Fire Place and it is pumped to the storage tank. This Fire Place looks like an ordinary FP, but by emitting only 10% into the room and 90% into the storage, it is a perfect source of energy for heating or for domestic hot water.
If the FP is turned off, the Heat Pump or a regular Heating system is activated, if the temperature drops below a preset minimum storage temperature.
