Solar Thermal Energy & Heat Pumps

The panel heating and cooling systems are ideally suited for combination with renewable energies. Due to the large surfaces, the energy is given or absorbed into the room very evenly and thus provides a very pleasant room climate. In addition, the supply temperatures can be kept very low through the large surfaces. The flow temperatures are around 34 °C in the heating mode and around 16 °C in the cooling mode. These temperatures can be achieved easily using heat pumps, which operate with a very high efficiency. Moreover, the combination with solar thermal energy is perfectly possible.

Photovoltaics

The power requirement of a heat pump can be covered by photovoltaic system. The electricity being generated is counted on an electricity meter and can be sold to the energy utility. On a separate meter the power can be bought back cheaply from the energy supplier. This has the advantage that one can fully benefit from the related law regulating the feeding of energy into the public grid and the energy subsidies for heat pumps. In addition, no elaborate electricity storage facilities are necessary - this system operates largely maintenance free.

Water-filled Fireplaces

Heating systems can be combined with fireplaces. For this purpose, a double-walled fireplace is connected by pipes with a buffer storage tank. In the void between outer jacket and combustion chamber, water is heated with a circulating pump and transported to the storage. In so doing, the buffer storage is heated by the fireplace. This fireplace looks like any normal fireplace, but by emitting only 10% of the heat output into the room and 90% into the storage. Both the entire house as well as the drinking water can be heated via the storage.

When the fireplace is not in use, the heat pump or the conventional heating system is put into operation if the temperature falls below the programmed minimum temperature. We would be delighted to provide you some further information!
